We have a long-standing relationship with the world’s leading creative agency AKQA, resulting in the development and production of leading future technologies and innovations such as the Neuromuscle Arcade Game.
In 2019, we worked with AKQA to create the ‘Neuromuscle’ arcade game; a speculative technology demonstrating a potential symbiosis between Artificial Intelligence and the human form.
By connecting AI to the users arms through a TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) apparatus, the computer was able to command the human hands to plan an original 1979 Asteroids arcade machine.
Semi Permanent was responsible for the production, technology, installation and operation of the activity, and has since gone on to activate the Neuromuscle technology on several other occasions.
