Momentsは、「クラフト・プロセス・視点」を軸に、対話と気づきを育む少人数制のクリエイティブサロンです。日本の多様なクリエイターが集い、静かな対話を通じて思考を深めるための新しい場となります。アーティスト、デザイナー、テクノロジスト、ストーリーテラーなどの表現者たちが、「何を創るか」だけでなく、「なぜ、どのように創るのか」という根本的な問いと向き合い、創造の原点に立ち返るための対話を重ねます。

記念すべき初回のMomentsでは、独自の視点と実践を持つ マルコ・ルイと入矢真一を迎え、映像、写真、ストーリーテリング、ブランド表現について語り合いながら、感性と考察が静かに浮かび上がる時間をともにします。

第1回ゲスト：
マルコ・ルイ（Marco Lui）
香港出身のビジュアルストーリーテラー／デザインリサーチャー。ジャーナリズムの分野で10年以上活動した経験を土台に、人間の内面に光を当てる物語性のある表現を探求している。初の長編ドキュメンタリー『Chasing South』（2025年）は、複雑な現実に向き合いながら「真実とは何か」に静かに問いかける映像作品である。

入矢 真一（Shinichi Iriya）
UX／インダストリアルデザイナー。ソニーにて製品デザインからチーフアートディレクターを歴任し、デザインの美意識を牽引。現在は金沢美術工芸大学にて後進を育てつつ、光・静寂・記憶をテーマに写真表現を展開。テクノロジーと感性のあいだを探りながら、人と社会をつなぐデザインの在り方を問い続けている。

Squarespaceは、クリエイターによるブランドやビジネスのオンライン構築を支援する、デザイン性と操作性に優れたウェブサイト構築プラットフォームとして、日本市場での展開を本格化させています。その理念は「創造性をすべての人に」——アクセスしやすいデザインツールを通じて、誰もが自らの表現をかたちにできる未来を目指しています。

Semi Permanent Momentsは、Squarespaceのビジョンと響き合い、プロフェッショナルと次世代のクリエイターたちが集い、表現を披露する場ではなく立ち止まり、見つめ直す時間として共有するプラットフォームです。そこには、ひとつの視点から生まれるアイデアと、それを支える「気づきの瞬間（moment）」への敬意が込められています。

作品づくりに向き合いたい人、想いをかたちにしたい人、あるいは創造の声に耳を澄ませたい人へ。日本のクリエイティブコミュニティが再び創ることの本質とつながるための場を提供します。　

当日は、〈Chioben〉による心づくしの軽食と、〈Mezzanine Makers〉のドリンクをご用意しております。音楽は、ロサンゼルス発の非営利公共メディア〈KCRW Culture of Los Angeles〉がセレクト。KCRWでは日本からのご寄付も受け付けており、ご支援いただいた方には、KCRWよりギフトと1年間のメンバーシップ特典が贈られます。

Semi Permanent Moments, in partnership with Squarespace, is a new kind of gathering—quietly ambitious and unmistakably personal. Launching this August in Tōkyō, Moments is our intimate salon series, crafted with gratitude and generosity to convene Japan’s creative vanguard for heartfelt conversations around craft, discipline, and point of view.

Rooted in our belief that powerful ideas grow in intimate spaces, Moments is where artists, designers, technologists, makers, and storytellers meet to consider not just what we create—but how, and why. These sessions are small by design, carefully composed to nurture dialogue, offer generosity of presence, and make room for perspective to shift.

This first edition of Moments brings together two singular voices from our community—Marco Lui and Shinichi Iriya—in a quiet and thoughtful exploration of cinematography, photography, narrative, and brand expression.

Featured Guests

Marco Lui
A visual storyteller and design researcher from Hong Kong, Marco’s roots lie in over a decade of journalism. With an eye for layered, human storytelling, he weaves depth and clarity into everything he creates. His first feature-length documentary, Chasing South (54 mins, 2025), marks a new chapter in his pursuit of truth through moving image.

Shinichi Iriya
An UX/industrial designer, educator, and observer of life’s quiet moments, Iriya-san spent decades shaping the design language of Sony—rising from product designer to Master Designer and Chief Art Director. Today, as a professor at Kanazawa College of Art, he continues to explore the role of design in connecting people, systems, and meaning. His photography practice, spanning Ishikawa and Tōkyō, captures the interplay of light, stillness, and memory.

Aligned with Squarespace’s mission of being a design-driven website platform helping creators build brands and businesses online, Squarespace elevates creativity through accessible design tools. Moments is both a platform and a pause—a space where seasoned professionals and emerging talent gather not to perform, but to reflect. It’s a reminder that behind every great idea is a point of view—and behind every point of view, a moment of clarity.
