Momentsは、「クラフト・規律・視点」を軸に、対話と気づきを育むための場です。アーティスト、デザイナー、テクノロジスト、ストーリーテラーなどの表現者が集い、「何を創るか」だけでなく「なぜ、どのように創るのか」という根本的な問いに立ち返ります。静かで親密な対話を通じて、創造の原点を見つめ直す時間を共有します。

今回のMomentsでは、ビジュアル・コミュニケーション、グラフィックデザイン、ブランド、ナラティブをめぐり、3名のゲストを迎えて対話を深めます。

登壇ゲスト

目黒 ケイ
東京とブルックリンを拠点に活動するアーティスト。鉛筆やグラファイトに繊細な色彩を重ねた精緻な写実表現で知られ、心理やアイデンティティ、日常の感情風景を探求している。Adobe、HBO、New Balance、Tiffany & Co. などからの依頼を受け、国際的に展示を行うなど幅広い実績を持つ。その作品は、美と深みを兼ね備え、世界中の観客に強く響いている。

UESATSU
1998年東京生まれ。武蔵野美術大学卒業後、東京藝術大学大学院デザイン専攻に在籍。グラデーションを軸とした構成や知覚の実験を通じ、感情に響く新しいグラフィック表現を探求。グローバルな感覚とローカルな視点を融合させ、日本のデザイン言語を拡張する新世代を代表している。

横田 未緒
Semi Permanent のクリエイティブディレクターとして Tokyo Salone、Nourish、Moments を統括し、Whatever Press を設立。セントラル・セント・マーチンズ修了後、IDEO にてビジュアル・コミュニケーションを牽引した。独立後は、出版やタイポグラフィ、コンクリート・ポエトリー（視覚詩）など幅広い実践を通じ、デザインを「成果物」であると同時に「対話」として提示し続けている。

Semi Permanent Moments, in partnership with Squarespace, is a new kind of gathering—quietly ambitious and unmistakably personal. Our next rendezvous is set for October in Tōkyō, Moments is our intimate salon series, crafted with gratitude and generosity to convene Japan’s creative vanguard for heartfelt conversations around craft, discipline, and point of view.

Rooted in our belief that powerful ideas grow in intimate spaces, Moments is where artists, designers, technologists, makers, and storytellers meet to consider not just what we create—but how, and why. These sessions are small by design, carefully composed to nurture dialogue, offer generosity of presence, and make room for perspective to shift.

Our Fall edition of Moments brings together three voices from our community— Kei Meguro, UESATSU, and Mio Yokota—in a quiet and vibrant conversation around visual communications, graphic design, brand, and narrative.

Kei Meguro
Kei Meguro is a Japanese artist based between Tokyo and Brooklyn, known for her intricate, photorealistic drawings that layer pencil, graphite, and subtle washes of color. Her practice blends technical mastery with explorations of psychology, identity, and the emotional landscapes of everyday life. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Kei’s work has been exhibited internationally and commissioned by Adobe, HBO, New Balance, Tiffany & Co., among others. She has spoken on creativity at Adobe MAX, Apple, and leading cultural forums worldwide. Kei’s work exists as both intimate portraiture and broader commentary, resonating with audiences seeking art that balances beauty and depth.

Satsuki Ueno / UESATSU
Born in Tokyo in 1998, Satsuki Ueno is part of a new wave of Japanese graphic designers reshaping the landscape of visual communication. A graduate of Musashino Art University’s Department of Visual Communication Design, and now a master’s candidate in Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, Ueno explores the boundaries of expression through independent practice. Her works—often built on gradient-driven compositions and experiments in perception—merge rigorous design sensibility with a curiosity for how graphic form can trigger emotional resonance. Ueno represents an emergent generation: globally fluent, locally rooted, and committed to expanding the language of design in Japan.

Mio Yokota
Mio Yokota is the Creative Director of Semi Permanent, leading Tokyo Salone, Nourish, and the Moments salon series, and founder of Whatever Press. With a background in graphic communication and art direction, Mio takes a research-driven, making-as-thinking approach that bridges typography, print, and experimental publishing. A graduate of Central Saint Martins’ MA in Communication Design, she previously served as Visual Communications Lead at IDEO, where she shaped projects at the intersection of design, storytelling, and cultural insight. Her independent practice has also extended across self-publishing, artist books, concrete poetry, and the study of language as a structural force in shaping human perception. Based in Tokyo, Mio creates work at the intersections of narrative, materiality, and cultural translation, inviting others to see how design can be both artifact and conversation.
