Manuscript
Founded in 2011 by journalist and editor Mitchell Oakley Smith and stylist and creative director Jolyon Mason, Manuscript was a quarterly fashion, visual art, culture and design publication produced in Sydney, Australia.
Over 13 issues, Manuscript established itself as a platform for critical arts writing and boundary-pushing photography, and featured talent such as Troye Sivan, Noah Taylor, Emma Balfour, Kirin J. Callinan and more across its covers.
Following the close of the regular print publication, Manuscript turned its focus to the creation of high quality art books, publishing the monographs of acclaimed Australian artist Michael Zavros and photographers Liz Ham (Punk Girls) and Kate Ballis (Infra Realism). Lavishly produced with detailed finishes, these monographs set a new standard for art book making in Australia. At PERMANENT Art Book Fair, Manuscript will presents its catalogue of artist monographs along with archival editions of the print magazine.
