Educated in Manchester, David began his career over 15 years ago in London as a Design Director at new media agency Static. During his time there he worked across brand campaigns for BBC, Channel 4, Virgin and Universal. In 2002 he moved to Sydney, quickly immersing himself in the local industry and connecting to a network of top creatives. His skills as Creative Director comes from a strong foundation in design working across broadcast, print and digital media brand projects. In 2008 David established the multi-disciplinary design studio Maud. Extending Maud beyond the traditional nature of a brand design studio, David has partnered with Telstra on the future of retail, participated in the creation of a political party designed to prevent the erosion of Australia’s gun laws and collaborated with Henry Wilson on furniture and other product design. Under his leadership, Maud has worked with some of the Australia’s biggest brands including Telstra, Google, Diageo, David Jones, Jurlique, Lend Lease and many more. As Executive Creative Director at Maud, David’s work has received national and international attention. David’s contribution to the design industry was recognised with his appointment as jury member for Brand Design at the most recent D&AD Awards.
