Luke Woods
VP, Head of Design ∙ Instagram
Luke Woods is the VP, Head of Design at Facebook, Inc. where he leads the company’s design function overall. In this role, Luke and his teams have shipped products including Messenger, Internet.org and Safety Check, while helping Facebook reach a community of over 2 billion people each day. Luke joined Facebook in 2011 and has been Head of Product Design since March 2015.
Prior to Facebook, Luke spent three years at IDEO as Senior Interaction Designer. Before IDEO, Luke spent seven years studying with mentors at the University of Washington, the University of Cincinnati and studying abroad in Basel, Switzerland.
Passionate about design and making products that work for people, in his spare time Luke enjoys running, cooking and photography. He received his BS in Digital Design from the University of Cincinnati and his MFA in Interactive Design from the University of Washington.
