As Founder and Director of global creative platform, Semi Permanent, Murray has over 20 years of experience within the creative industries, having programmed live festivals across the world including Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, London and Stockholm.
He has been curator of many immersive experiences, such as the recent Stanley Donwood / Radiohead retrospective exhibition - The Panic Office, and has been Creative Director of over a decades worth of brand and artist collaborations, such as the interactive story-telling platform, Google Cube and Google Hangouts.
Murray has worked with and interviewed Roman, Francis Ford and Gia Coppola, elusive artist Banksy, Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke, Scott Dadich and Billy Sorrentino at WIRED, Paula Scher and Natasha Jen of Pentagram, Architect Bjarke Ingels, Directors Mike Mills and Miranda July, Advertising greats David Droga and John Jay, hoteliers such as the late Alex Calderwood of ACE Hotels, The Gentlewoman Editor Penny Martin, athletes Tony Hawk and Kelly Slater, former Director of the MOCA Jeffrey Deitch and many more.
He has also worked closely with organisations such as Google, Facebook, Qantas, Audi, Destination NSW, Telstra, Dropbox, Adobe and Twitter to create meaningful experiences for live and digital audiences.
Murray has a deep knowledge and passion for the power of design and its relationship with innovation. His unique relationship with the creative community and businesses across the globe provides a rare, neutral platform that acts as a facilitator for authentic collaborations.
